About Me

My passion for real estate started long ago and only continues to grow, and because of this, I feel that I am better able to help my clients whether they are buying or selling.

I love working with people and real estate.  With my extensive background in law and land issues I feel that I have a lot of knowledge to share with those I help in many different areas of real estate.  In addition to my previous work experience, I have worked for a variety of companies fulfilling a wide range of duties with a high degree of responsibility.  I have carried my skills in prioritization and retaining a high degree of confidentiality into the field of real estate.

I grew up in the lower mainland of  British Columbia where I was competitive in many sports but spent the majority of my time competing with horses in show jumping and 3-day eventing.  During my years of College and University and the breaks in between, I had many jobs including Administrator and weight trainer at two fitness clubs in Vancouver and several years working for helicopter companies in their offices.

I started working in Real Estate office in 1994 as a real estate assistant for several different Realtors and a property manager, which then led to the receptionist postion then the conveyancing position.   After a few years I returned to college for legal secretarial skills and was then hired by one of the national law firms in Vancouver to work in residential foreclosures for two of Canada’s major banks.  For several years I worked for different firms and the City of Vancouver legal department in areas including: residential and commercial foreclosures; land issues such as leasing agreements, by-laws, encroachments, heritage agreements, and agreements for land issues concerning the 2010 Olympics to be held in Vancouver and the land issues concerning the Hastings Park Race Track; and working on land acquisitions and purchases of large shopping malls in western Canada.  These years gave me an extensive knowledge of contracts, titles and all encumbrances found on titles.

I then moved on to work for one of the major Developers in the Lower Mainland as a Development Co-ordinator.  I worked on several projects including a 457 townhome development and 7 new Fraternity houses for the University of British Columbia, among other projects.  I would work on things such as the legal Disclosure Statement, which includes the initial condominium corporation bylaws and budgets, working closely with a lawyer to before the units went for sale.  I would also work on obtaining all demolition, development, building and other permits, addressing, environmental studies, and co-ordinating all our departments to work with each other.

During my time with this company I started working on the Urban Design Certificate offered by Simon Fraser University.  This program was led by Michael Von Hausen, an Urban Designer who has been working with Red Deer and Red Deer County on development plans.  This certificate is offered to those working in areas of land development and the program consisted mostly of Planners from B.C., Alberta and Saskatchewan.  I completed the program in 2005 travelling to and from Vancouver from Red Deer.

I moved from Vancouver to Red Deer in 2004 to be with my then fiance(Alberta raised) who I married in 2006.   We bought an acreage in Red Deer County where we currently live and raise buffalo and cattle.  We have several horses and I hope to one day start competing again.

My plan was to work in the area of Planning upon arriving in Red Deer, but I decided to obtain my Real Estate Licence instead.  I also have completed two programs through Olds College to expand my knowledge concerning acreages, farms and ranchs.

I love working with people and real estate.  With my extensive background in law and land issues, I feel I have a lot to share with those I help in many different areas of real estate.

Let my knowledge and passion work for you!
